Fellowship

Fellowship is at the center of the community here at St. Bart’s.  Coming together and sharing food brings us closer and makes us stronger as a group. We were created to live in community, and intentional fellowship binds that community closer together. Fellowship is so integral to our identity as a worshiping community that we gather weekly for coffee hour after each service. On a larger scale, we host two picnics a year and two celebratory receptions. Our Family Ministries Group plans four events a year that are fun for the whole family. Fellowship is a big part of who we are at St. Bart’s, it is how we build and maintain our community.

Art at St. Bart’s

Our group for artists of all kinds, “Art at St. Bart’s,” meets on the second Thursday of each month, from 10 a.m. until noon, in the church library. Bring your project (that will fit on a library table, as well as protection for that library table) and work with us in a friendly, supportive, creative atmosphere! We discuss all sorts of things while we work, but especially art, and potential art-related field trips. We also maintain an email contact list, so all who wish to know about our activities should either come to a meeting, or let Janice H. or Kathryn O-G know if you would like to be included on the list. Please call if you have questions!

Family Ministry Group

The Family Ministry Group is a parent advisory board helps to create and evaluate the educational program of St. Bartholomew’s children ages 3-12 as well as planning fellowship activities for families throughout the year. The group continually develops innovative ideas that excite, increase, and maintain a thriving children’s education program at St. Bartholomew’s.

Friendship Dinner Groups

Every year, those who are interested are divided into dinner groups. Each group meets four or more times a year in homes for dinner. This is a wonderful way to get to know other parishioners and is a low-stress way to integrate into the congregation.

For more information, contact Mother Pippa.

The group will open and close in prayer every week and on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, Pastor Karen and Mother Pippa will lead a Bible study based on the upcoming Sunday’s lectionary; the other Thursdays will be playtime. Children are welcome and expected to be present.
