Fellowship

Fellowship is at the center of the community here at St. Bart's.  Coming together and sharing food brings us closer and makes us stronger as a group. We were created to live in community, and intentional fellowship binds that community closer together. Fellowship is so integral to our identity as a worshiping community that we gather weekly for coffee hour after each service. On a larger scale, we host two picnics a year and two celebratory receptions. Our Family Ministries Group plans four events a year that are fun for the whole family. Fellowship is a big part of who we are at St. Bart’s, it is how we build and maintain our community.

Our group for artists of all kinds, "Art at St. Bart's," meets on the second Thursday of each month, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the church library. Bring your project (that will fit on a library table, as well as protection for that library table) and work with us in a friendly, supportive, creative atmosphere! We discuss all sorts of things while we work, but especially art, and potential art-related field trips. We also maintain an email contact list, so all who wish to know about our activities should either come to a meeting, or let Janice H. or Kathryn O-G know if you would like to be included on the list. Please call if you have questions!

We host several Parents' Nights Out each year.
Parents' Night Out is an opportunity to drop your kids off for a couple hours. They will be entertained with games and crafts, and fed dinner. At 7 p.m. we will gather for Eucharist.

Every year, those who are interested are divided into dinner groups. Each group meets four or more times a year in homes for dinner. This is a wonderful way to get to know other parishioners and is a low-stress way to integrate into the congregation.

Mothers of children pre-school age and younger are invited to meet in the St. Bart’s Nursery every Wednesday morning from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. for a Moms' Group/Bible Study. The group will open and close in prayer every week and on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, Mother Pippa will lead a Bible study based on the upcoming Sunday’s lectionary. Other Wednesdays are playdates in the Nursery. Children are welcome and expected to be present.

A group of eight to 12 women meets in the Library on the fourth Monday of the month at 2:00 p.m. for discussion and fellowship. Books are selected every three months by group consensus.
